Description Koniag Government Services is looking for a Mainframe Administrator tojoin our team in support of a federal client located in Fort Collins, CO.Pursuant to PL 93-638, as amended, Preference will be given to qualifiedapplicants who are a member of a Federally Recognized Native American Tribe. Candidate will have extensive experience with IBM mainframe operatingsystems, including MVS and z/OS to add to an existing Systems Programmingstaff. The qualified candidate will function as a z/OS Systems Programmer. * Perform as a z/OS mainframe administrator: configuring,maintaining, and supporting z/OS Operating System Environments andthird-party mainframe software. * Utilize SMP/E for vendor product and system OS maintenance. * Interacts with technology teams such as Computer Operations and DataBase Administrators. * Utilize knowledge of TCP/IP and SNA/VTAM architecture fornetworking support. * Work with Security personnel to help define and configure RACFsecurity rules for dataset and other resource definitions. * Configures and administers controls and policies for automationproducts that run in the z/OS environment. * Provides to federal staff for audit interviews. Utilizes automation,tooling, reports, utilities, and batch programs necessary to minimizemanual activities and provide meaningful audit and management reporting. * Troubleshoots and tracks problem and incident tickets, with vendorsand clients. * Supports scheduled weekend work, Disaster Recovery (DR) testsand participate in a shared on-call duty rotation for off-hours technicalsuppoPosition Requirements Qualifications: * Bachelor s degree preferred Working Environment and Conditions This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard officeposition and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent isrequired to stand; walk; sit; use hands to manipulate, handle, orfeel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk andhear. The work load may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods oftime. The incumbent must be able to read, perform simple math calculationsand withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally liftand/or move items that weigh up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilitiesrequired for the job include close vision, distance vision, colorvision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
