Description Koniag Government Services is looking for a Mainframe SystemsAdministrator to join our team in support of a federal client located in FortCollins, CO. The Mainframe Systems Administrator provides internal and externalcustomers with exceptional 24x7 customer service support in a flexibleenvironment. Duties and responsibilities This position is considered senior level and opportunities to be involvedin other aspects of z/OS system support are encouraged. * Candidate will have extensive experience with IBM mainframe operatingsystems, including MVS and z/OS to add to an existing Systems Programmingstaff. The qualified candidate will function as a z/OS Systems Programmer. * Perform as a z/OS mainframe administrator: configuring,maintaining, and supporting z/OS Operating System Environments. * Utilize SMP/E for vendor product and system OS maintenance. * Interacts with technology teams such as Computer Operations and DataBase Administrators. * Utilize knowledge of TCP/IP and SNA/VTAM architecture fornetworking support. * Work with Security personnel to help define and configure RACFsecurity rules for dataset and other resource definitions. * Configures and administers controls and policies for automationproducts that run in the z/OS environment. * Provides to Federal staff for audit interviews. Utilizes automation,tooling, reports, utilities, and batch programs necessary to minimizemanual activities and provide meaningful audit and management reporting. * Troubleshoots and tracks problem and incident tickets with vendors andclients. * Supports scheduled weekend work, Disaster Recovery (DR) testsand participates in a shared on-call duty rotation for off-hours technicalsupp * Third party software experience should include BMC lOA Control-M,Control-T, Control-O, SEA TRMS and SAVRS, or equivalent products. * Large system performance and capacity measurements and reportingutilizing IBM's RMF and SMF data, SAS language, MXG software, andIntelliMagic Vision for z/OS.Position Requirements Qualifications * Ability to obtain a public trust security clearance * Bachelor s degree preferred * 4 or more years experience working in a related environment * IBM Mainframe z/OS Systems Programmer with 4+ years of experiencewith installation, modification, and maintenance of 3rd party software. * Must be competent in SMP/e, TSO/e, ISPF, and SDSF, andcomfortable working in a DF/SMS, SYSPLEX, RACF, and JES2 environment Working Environment and Conditions This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard officeposition and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent isrequired to stand; walk; sit; use hands to manipulate, handle, orfeel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk andhear. The work load may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods oftime. The incumbent must be able to read, perform simple math calculationsand withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally liftand/or move items that weigh up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilitiesrequired for the job include close vision, distance vision, colorvision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
