Position: Portfolio Analyst (Software)
Work Location: Fort Collins, CO
Summary: ASRC Federal Highland Technology is seeking a Portfolio Analyst (Software) to work on-site in Fort Collins, CO. Duties would include support with defining Portfolio level Lean Business Cases, OKRs and high-level in scope of capabilities/features. Candidate would also be responsible for creating Portfolio EPICs. This would involve assisting Product Business owners with defining high level scope and OKRs intended for complex custom software development which could include COTS integration in an enterprise class web application environment. Duties might also include participating in project implementation supporting Product Managers and Owners.
Works closely with Government business teams, collaborating across client organizations with interconnected requirements, requiring integration.
Assumes responsibility for supporting development value streams in the continuous definition and prioritizing of valid requirements
Assumes, brings the voice of the customer to decision making leadership, development teams and Product Owners
Understands the customer needs and reason for the need
Understands and continues to support the portfolio level perspective throughout software lifecycle
Leads the effort to create the portfolio and solution roadmap
Collaborates with Solution and Enterprise Architects to analyze alternative solutions.
Participates in demos and inspect and adapt events
Working experience with requirement tools (i.e., JIRA and Confluence)
Familiarity with formalized requirements management frameworks (including requirements traceability) such as IEEE, ITIL, CMMI.
Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies
Knowledge of Business Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, and Solution Architecture
Experience with requirements for solutions that have integration needs across platforms and existing applications
Experience using tracking and versioning software such as GitHub, TFS and Bitbucket.
Experience in writing business requirements used to create enterprise class web-based software.
Familiarity with information modeling concepts
Familiarity with integrating COTS and custom software as part of an enterprise software solution (Experience with SAS, SAP, or Pega preferred)
Ability to research document repositories and existing code.
Willingness to assist with in development testing
