RESPONSIBILITIES:As a Sr. Visual Designer and a Art Director, you will engage with anexperienced cross-disciplinary team to conceive and support design work forinnovative software products. Day to day tasks will include leading new visualdesign explorations, creating visual design mockups, creating moodboards, and working with product managers, UX and interaction designers tounderstand requirements. You must be responsive, flexible, and able tosucceed within an open collaborative peer environment.BASIC REQUIREMENTS:Minimum 8 years working as Software UI Visual designer.Experience in leading visual design development, shipping products, anddeveloping strong visual design concept work.Expert knowledge of visual, typographic, grid system, and interactiondesign disciplines and principles.Skills in motion, illustration, and concept creation/visualizationstrongly desired.Sophisticated design, layout, and typographic skills.Excellent sense of color, scale, harmony, balance, and use of negative space.A demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite graphics and Sketch,Figma or industry well known UI authoring applications.Familiarity with user-centered design principles, methodologies, and userresearch.An online portfolio revealing thought process and an ability to rapidlygenerate creative ideas, with samples of original graphic or visual designwork.PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:Experienced as UI/Visual designer for 8 - 10 years of designing UI forconsumer facing digital productsAbility to create design mockups at high quality with fast turnaround, andability to iterate quickly to visualize and evolve visual design solutions.Need to be receptive to constructive criticism, and be able to internalizeand make design revisions based on feedback from design leaders and designcolleagues.The ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously and multi-task in anagile environment.Ability to distill complex concepts and then quickly turn around rigorousflows and mockups reflecting a range of simple, elegant, andtechnically-feasible options.Lead other visual and collaborate with interaction designers to createsupporting UX designs.Create detailed print documentation and specifications of user experienceconcepts and visual design specifications.Work closely with Software team to support prototyping activities with visualdesign mockups/assets, to capture and resolve bugs, including resolutionof UX Design inconsistencies, incorrect or missing graphic resources, etc.Be prepared quickly to grow into increased responsibility and autonomy as youdemonstrate skills and reliability.Strong communication skills.Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyAptitude and cultural fit to inspire and collaborate within themultidisciplinary team (see Desired Characteristics for more detail).REQUIRED EXPERIENCE OR EDUCATION:Based on experience, background and candidate fit / desired characteristics.Bachelors or Masters in Graphic Design, Visual Design, User InterfaceDesign, Architecture Design, Video Game Design or an equivalent design degreeHP offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:Dental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible scheduleFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insuranceThe estimated range of compensation for this job at the time of this postingin CO is $124,000 - $180,000.
