Software Development Manager
The responsibility of the Software Manager is day-to-day management of all engineering activities related to various software products. Excellent quality and functionality of application software is the basis for generating sales and revenue and securing market shares and customer satisfaction. Overall success greatly relies on operative processes practiced by a highly motivated team of developers lead and coached by this role.
Possesses and demonstrates strategic knowledge of software development principles and practices
Mobile App and/or Cloud Services Product design and implementation experience from concept to production to sustaining
Demonstrated experience or strong understanding of interfacing software to a hardware device
A servant leader to a team of highly skilled software developers
Defines specifics and communicates expectations for quality outcomes.
Ensures engineering solutions meet requirements for cost, time, and quality.
Ability to clearly articulate business goals and strategies. Facilitate teams in solving problems and making decisions and effective engagement with peer organizations.
A role model in effective Communication, Collaboration, Networking, Candor, Emotional Resilience, Negotiation, working within a team environment and cross functionally
Ability to assess risks and make decision acting with a sense of urgency enabling teams to deliver on time. Ability to build trust and loyalty within the team.
Ability to identify solutions to unforeseen problems with the ability to modify and adjust to the environment and situation
Oversee the execution of assigned software projects. Establish and Maintain appropriate performance Metrics.
Provide technical direction and leadership to the product development team
Maintain awareness of all Engineering policies, guidelines, and procedures, and comply with them to ensure products meet performance, cost and reliability goals. Develop Best In Class Engineering policies and procedures and participate in the development. Role Model in Allegion Product Development Process

Set individual and team goals in Alignment with the Organizational goal and monitor progress through regular performance feedback sessions with their Organizations
Demonstrated experience in software design, analysis, and development
Experience working and managing a team within a Scrum framework. CSM certification is highly desired.
BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
10+ years of relevant experience
At least 3 years in an engineering leadership role and at least 5 years consumer or commercial product design experience
