Pilgrim’s is seeking a Trade Promotion and Program Manager for our Prepared Foods Marketing team. This role will work with category managers, customer marketing managers and senior sales leaders to provide comprehensive pricing and program analytics and recommendations, establishing effective tradespend practices and guardrails that drive profitable growth. Establish and recommend guardrails for all levels of price and trade programing including corporate and local distributor programs, operator rebate and contract price programs, with specific attention to broadline distribution and related product portfolio

  • Develop reporting capabilities from TPM software (currently Blacksmith Applications) and related databases to produce reports and analysis to evaluate Trade effectiveness of Prepared Foods business unit

  • Establish, with marketing and sales leadership, appropriate tradespend benchmarks and KPI’s

  • Responsible for identifying and compiling data, identifying and quantifying opportunities and recommending improvements

  • Communicate findings in a clear, succinct, and compelling manner

  • Continuous implementation of process improvement as it relates to data analysis and value collection

  • Collaborate with senior management and peers to provide periodic and ad-hoc reporting and analysis

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel required

  • Foodservice industry experience desirable

  • Experience with Blacksmith Applications and SAP desirable

  • Acute attention to details

  • Strong ability to use logic and excellent problem solving skills

  • Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to find a simple solution to a complex problem

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels, not limited to: corporate executives, sales personnel, team members in the field, etc.
