Weld County Government Training and Quality Assurance Supervisor in Greeley, Colorado

Days and hours will vary, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, paid monthly.Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Successful completion of Bachelor's Degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training and work experience relatedto the occupational field or specialized subject area of the work assignedto the job which provides the required skills, knowledge and ability forthe position may be considered in lieu of the degree Six years full time business or office experience involving a high levelof customer interaction of which, three years must include working in ahuman services environment. Two years full time experience supervising and managing employees thatinclude directing work activities and evaluating employee performance. Must pass Human Services background checks. Must have a valid Colorado Driver's License and Liability Insurance.Must provide own transportation and be willing to travel throughout WeldCounty. Ability to enter data into several different computer programs. Abilityto learn and apply new computer skills on a regular basis. Knowledge ofcomputer programs such as Microsoft Windows and Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence anddepartment policies and procedures. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small groupsituations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Ability to apply math concepts and calculations in the work environment. Ability to apply common sense to problem solve in a work environment. Ability to adapt to fast paced, high volume and ever changing workenvironment and be able to handle high stress situations. Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines and appropriate release ofinformation. Occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy files or objects up to25 pounds.Preferred: Experience working in a human services environment. Working knowledge of public assistance programs. Experience presenting and/or developing training modules. Experience using Colorado Benefits Management System. Web-based training experience or knowledge.Duties: Responsible for leading and directing the Assistance PaymentsTraining and Quality Assurance Unit. Responsible for developing trainingfor public assistance programs such as, Food Assistance, Medicaid, ChildCare, Colorado Works and other cash programs and other division specifictraining programs. Responsible for the supervision of program supportspecialists, claim creation specialists and transfer and audit specialiststaff. Responsible for the supervision and conduction of case reviews forpublic assistance programs for the Division. Directly supervise the daily activities of the staff within the Trainingand Quality Assurance Unit. Provide leadership, guidance and ensuring ahigh level of performance and compliance with County, State and Federalrules and regulations. Monitor key process improvement measurements and assure timeliness andaccuracy of staff work performance according to compliance with establishedeligibility criteria and agency guidelines. Establish and enforce standardsfor quality and quantity of work and communicate department vision anddirection to staff ensuring that every day practices reflect that vision. Utilize problem solving and investigative skills to improve work flowand develop employees within the Program Integrity Unit. Work closely withother Assistance Payments units to implement family focused servicestrategies and improve timelines associated with individual programcompliance. Encourage team members to look for opportunities for processsimplification and improvement. Identify training needs and developappropriate programs which may include categorical program training,community in-service presentations, and other position specific training.Develop and provide training for staff in the Assistance Payments Division.
