Griffis Residential Acquisitions Analyst in Greenwood Village, Colorado

Work with the Acquisitions Team in preparing financial analysis for apartment acquisitions and dispositions including investment modelling and market/asset research.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand the investment strategies of various Griffis Residential investment vehicles and characteristics of suitable assets and opportunities

  • Conduct target market and asset level research

  • Prepare financial models – project investment returns and conduct sensitivity analysis for prospective investments

  • Conduct asset, competitive set (submarket) and market due diligence

  • Research and understand financing alternatives including lender structures, terms and conditions

  • Participate in preparation of transaction legal documents including Access Agreements, Purchase and Sale Agreements and Loan documents

  • Develop Seller and Broker contacts and relationships

  • Collaborate and assist with transactions team on acquisition, disposition, financing and asset management duties

  • Prepare material for and participate in Investment Committee meetings

  • Prepare research, investment committee memoranda, asset management reports and other documents and reporting as requested

  • Maintain data used for market and investment analysis, investor and Advisory Committee reporting and capital raising

  • Perform ad hoc projects as requested by Executive Team

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required from a four-year college or university is required

  • 0-2 years related work experience

  • Strong analytical skills with a deep knowledge of Excel

  • Accountability, integrity and collaboration

  • Listens well, asks clarifying questions, and checks for agreement

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written

  • Ability to work in an efficient manner with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and initiative to get things done

  • Ability to work independently as a project leader and team member

Computer Skills

  • Microsoft Suite

  • Advanced Excel Skills


  • Up to 50% travel is required
