Kforce DevOps Engineer in Greenwood Village, Colorado

Kforce is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their team in Greenwood Village, Colorado (CO). Summary: The DevOps Engineer will help automate existing manual tasks and deployments as well as assisting the company's software project teams to coordinate application deployment on a Kubernetes cluster within a VMWare data center environment. The candidate will build scripts in Python and configuration management tools to automate deployments, support tasks, and reporting and infrastructure work within AWS.This position is focused heavily on specific application deployments to a data center, on VMWare and on Kubernetes, but also provides the opportunity to learn AWS in a large enterprise environment. The role will include working with other DevOps engineers in areas other than data center, VMWare, and Kubernetes to be able to automate and document deployments successfully. The candidate must have a solid understanding of data center deployments on VMWare, and some background in deploying and support applications on Kubernetes. Linux knowledge is required, and Python, Ansible, and Terraform are all beneficial.Company is looking for individuals willing to bring new technologies and processes to our team, while providing world-class support to our internal clients.   • Coordinates with data center management teams to automate and deploy containerized microservice applications on Kubernetes within a VMWare environment

  • Supports company's Software Engineering AWS environment in collaboration with an experienced team

  • Advocates automation and infrastructure as code, and has experience transitioning from a manual to an automated deployment model

  • Advanced Linux system administration

  • Operation and deployment of applications to Kubernetes

  • Good understanding of client support processes and ticket management

  • Ability to install, upgrade, manage, and maintain software tools in a Linux environment

  • Deployment automation experience using Jenkins or other continuous integration tool

Beneficial Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Python scripting

  • Basic use of Ansible, Hashicorp Terraform and/or Packer tools

  • Ability to write and maintain Jenkins multi-branch pipelines

  • Experience with the Netflix OSS stack (Asgard, Eureka)

  • Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or other monitoring tools
