Air Methods Corporation Director Of Reimbursement .and. Payor Strategies in Greenwood Village, Colorado

DescriptionJob SummaryDirector Reimbursement is responsible for forming and implementing strategy towork with insurance payor and employers to initiate, track, and maintainin-network status. This includes negotiating directly with commercialinsurance plans and employers, and providing insight to senior managementregarding reimbursement trends. Core Responsibilities for all jobs at this level. Develops and translates functional or divisional strategy into actionableplan Leads segment of department or smaller function in the planning,development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of relatedprocesses Plans, coordinates and evaluates complex departmental andintradepartmental projects or programs for implementation across largedepartment or function Establishes policies appropriate for the function, interprets andrecommends modification to company-wide policies and practicesEssential Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Develop and Manage Payer Relations Strategy and Revenue Analysis Support Media, Government Relations, and Legal Departments inresponding to payer related issues Negotiate with payers for network agreements Prepare schedules and interface with outside auditors as it relates topatient transport revenue Participate in the Payer Strategy Committee; serving at Chairperson asneeded Provide training and education to Air Methods employees and outside parties Other Duties as assigned.Additional job requirements: Regular scheduled attendance Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling: 25%Subject to applicable laws and Air Method's policies, regular attendanceis an essential function of the position. Carries out Supervisoryresponsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies andapplicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, selecting,hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning and directingwork; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees,addressing complaints and resolving problems. For Exempt Managers:Managers that carry out these responsibilities for two or more employees willhave significant input in hiring and termination decisions.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential function satisfactorily. Experience Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and ten ormore years' related experience and/or training; or equivalentcombination of education and experience Master's Degree preferred Management experience at the tactical and semi-strategical level Skills Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of collaboration at alllevels.
