The Process Improvement and Project Manager is responsible for improving efficiency within the organization and managing projects to completion based on our most significant business needs. This individual will utilize their analytical skills to define projects (scoping, evaluating, and implementing) to improve performance for internal and customer facing initiatives. The individual will also provide necessary direction and ongoing support to ensure new initiatives are adopted across the organization.

As this is a new function within Griffis Residential, the Process Improvement and Project Manager will have the opportunity to define and implement best practices in project management and process improvement, partnering with various departments including Operations, Training & Development, and Finance & Accounting. The individual will define the scope of projects, resources necessary, level of effort, timeline and execute to the expectations they set, keeping key stakeholders and Senior Leadership apprised of progress, obstacles and successes.

This position calls for someone who can work both independently and as part of a team and can handle multiple assignments simultaneously. The ideal candidate can create structure, utilize technology to support improvements, pay close attention to detail, and is able to communicate effectively with a broad range of people.

Project Management and Influence Skills

  • Act as a strategic partner with COO, Operations Managers, and various department leaders to understand the most significant needs of the organization and scope, plan, execute, and support projects that drive value for both internal and external customers

  • Drive the definition, development, and documentation of business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and various departments

Process Improvement Skills

  • Recommend and implement best practice processes and procedures that will improve operational efficiencies and customer experience objectives

  • Drive processes to identify and correct gaps in operational & customer experience based upon direct and indirect feedback through online reviews, GR service feedback and inbound telephone calls and other communications to the corporate office

  • Identify and initiate KPIs and success metrics, escalating project & process issues and risks as appropriate

Technology Skills

  • Understand multiple complex processes and systems in order to determine best method of improving and communicating said processes to impacted functional groups.

  • Think creatively and technically to recommend process improvement opportunities and technology that will facilitate proposed improvements

  • Responsible for ensuring end user readiness to integrate and adopt new processes and supporting technology into daily operations

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, and at least 4 years of process improvement and project management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with process improvement methods and tools, Data collection and analysis, and Project management methods and tools

  • High level of proficiency using Outlook, Word, Excel, Vizio, flow-charting and other software

  • Demonstrated understanding of current technologies and improving business processes through the use of technology

  • Proven initiative and ability to advance projects while managing multiple initiatives/priorities.

  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining business relationships, with ability to interact with clients at all levels within the organization

  • Experience successfully leading and implementing change
