Charter Communications/Spectrum Senior Business Analyst in Greenwood Village, Colorado

JOB SUMMARYCharter is seeking a hands-on Senior Business Analyst to join the BusinessDevelopment team partnering directly with the Vice President of StrategicAnalytics who leads many of the financial modeling, analytics, research,and strategy assignments of the team.The Business Development team is embedded within Charter s Productorganization (headquartered in Colorado) and is responsible foridentifying, investigating and evaluating licensing opportunities andstrategic business alliances in support of Charter s Product, Engineering,Media and other organizations.Business Development team members lead or assist in commercial negotiations,business strategy .and. operations matters; and are highly analytical .and.strategic, yet pragmatic and results-oriented.As a Senior Business Analyst in this organization, you will create financialmodels and presentations and perform research in support of businesstransactions and product strategy. Your strategic and analytical approach willultimately drive meaningful results on behalf of the Business Developmentorganization and tangible results for the Charter brand.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Build robust and easy-to-digest financial models with multiplescenarios used for evaluating deals and making other product developmentdecisions * Provide business development support, including research activitiesand analysis with a focus on supporting: video, mobile, and theadvanced advertising business units * Review and evaluate business proposals from vendors, identifyingimprovements and assisting with negotiation strategy * Participate in or lead the evaluation of projects through financialfeasibility studies and research * Prepare deal summaries and participate in presentation preparationefforts for senior management * Research new technologies and industry trends to better understand keymarket participants, business models, and the potential impact on Charters product development efforts both on an ad hoc and recurring basisPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSTo be successful in this role, you possess the following skills/attributes: * Ability to read, write, speak and understand English * Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel modeling expertise * Proficiency in PowerPoint and ability to tell a story clearly andconcisely * Intensely curious * Creative researcher who is able to uncover insights from varioussources * Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear andstraightforward manner with all levels of management and company personnel * Ability to prioritize and organize effectively, showing judgment andinitiative to meet deadlines * Cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to overcomeorganizational obstacles, with the ability to make decisions and workcollaboratively with others to solve problems * Strategic thinker with a fundamental understanding of cable andtelecommunications products and services, including familiarity with cableindustry trends and competitors * Understanding of college-level accounting theory and procedures * Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to the highest degree ofprofessional standards * Command of standard professional tools, e.g., PCs or Macs,tablets, phones, Word, Excel, and PowerPointEducationBachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, BusinessAdministration or related fieldMBA or Masters in one of the above fields preferredRelated Work Experience5 years of Business Operations Analysis experience5 years of project management experience10 years of telecommunications experiencePreference for 2+ years of experience in Management Consulting, InvestmentBanking, or Corporate Strategy in a technology/media company.WORKING CONDITIONSOffice environmentThe Spectrum brand is powered and innovated by Charter Communications.Charter Communications reaffirms its commitment to providing equalopportunities for employment and advancement to qualified employees and
