As a highly valued, contributing software engineer on the CharterWireless R.and.D team, you will help shape the next generation cloud based IoTand PLTE solutions . Our team develops solutions to quickly solve uniquechallenges faced by the Charter IoT delivery teams. We architect, build,and deliver strategic, targeted solutions in a rapidly evolving environment.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Actively and consistently supportsall efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Code and perform unit and integration testing of software to ensureproper and efficient execution while adhering to business and technicalrequirements. Code, test, debug, and enhance software and write programsaccording to specifications. Participate in code review sessions to validate adherence withdevelopment standards. Develop and maintain technical documentation. Provide system analysis and improvement recommendations. Identify and recommend system designs/requirements for softwareenhancements with senior team members. Participate in continuous performance improvement sessions todiscuss opportunities to improve processes and/or standards. Coordinate with technical teams to analyze and resolve softwarerelated problems causing operational difficulties, advising on specializedfeatures and functions. Follow established configuration/change control processes. Ensure the software architecture is lean, extensible, and welldocumented Ensure software modules are reliable and reusable Integrate with metrics and auditing systems to inform on health andusage Work with team to evaluate workload.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Experience with JavaScript/Typescript. Experience with Amazon Web Services AWS. Experience working with DevOps engineers to build and deployinfrastructure with cloud deployment technologies. Experience with software revision control Git. Experience with test-driven development and automated testingframeworks like cypress.io and jestjs.io. Strong understanding of Scrum/Agile development methodologies. Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with littlesupervision. Strong understanding with infrastructure automation technologies(Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with programming languages (Java, Python). Strong experience with building APIs and services using prevailingdesign models (REST, SOAP). Knowledge of object design, design patterns, and algorithms. Experience developing multi-threaded applications for networking,web services, HTTP, and TCP/IP. Strong understanding of high-volume, real time processing. Good communicator; able to analyze and clearly articulate complexissues and technologies understandably and engagingly. Great design and problem-solving skills, with a strong bias forarchitecting at scale. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, adaptable,proactive and willing to take ownership. Systematic investigation andeliminating variability of issues. Large-scale systems software design and development experience andworking knowledge of Unix/Linux. Strong analytical
