Job descriptionThe Infrastructure Business Line of Arcadis is seeking a qualified individualfor a GIS Analyst position to provide analytical and consulting support forlinear referencing, Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS),Certified Public Mileage (CPM), business system Integration and datacreation/migration projects to local and state Departments ofTransportation. Projects focus on the design and implementation of enterpriseGeographic Information Systems (GIS) using Esri based software.This position can be located anywhere in the U.S. and has the option to workremotely or in an Arcadis office near your existing location.Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Designing and modeling advanced linear referencing systems, includingboth core components and event datasets. * Analyzing and loading datasets to build the LRS network, includingcenterlines, routes, and calibration points. * Analyzing and loading datasets to build supporting LRS event data. * Integrating external datasets into Roads and Highways for use inproducing Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS) and CertifiedPublic Mileage (CPM) reports. * Identifying and designing business processes for use in WorkflowManager (WMX). * Developing Data Reviewer checks for the validation of dataconversion/creation processes. * Managing GIS data through editing and quality assurance best practices. * Developing and implementing Roadway Characteristics Editor (RCE)sites using ArcGIS Server. * Developing and parsing REST service calls to interrogate enterprisedatabase systems. * Designing and developing geoprocessing models for a range of functionsusing model builder and python. * Design, implement, and administer Relational Database ManagementSystems (RDBMS) of SQL Server and Oracle instances. Required Qualifications * Minimum years of experience: 5 Years * Education required: Bachelors in Geography, EnvironmentalSciences, Information Technology, or Computer Science * This position does require travel. Travel amount may be up to 25%. * A valid driver s license and clean driving record is required for thisposition.Special considerations, specific technical experience, skills, etc. include: * Esri ArcGIS products (ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcToolbox) * Esri Roads & Highways applications and enterprise database management * Linear referencing toolsets * Extensive familiarity with enterprise database environments,including versioning concepts. * Demonstrating progressive and analytical problem solving skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills for complex reportsand presentations. * Experience with training staff or clients on technical procedures orsoftware * Experience with Asset Management software and concepts * Advanced Analytics and Data Visualization techniques Required Driving StatementThis position requires a current valid driver slicense and clean driving record.
