DISH intends to radically disrupt the Wireless industry landscape and is in search of a Data Analyst that can help us make data-driven decisions to change the way the world communicates. This position will work as part of our Wireless Deployment team responsible for input and output of large amounts of data for Systems and Tools to help build DISH’s Greenfield 5G network faster and more cost efficiently than has ever been done in the industry. This team is a key component to the success of DISH’s wireless buildout.
Primary responsibilities are as follows:
Build dashboards, tools, and reports to help functional departments and executives keep a pulse on their areas of business and wireless deployment. Key technologies may include Tableau and Excel.
Validate large amounts of data to ensure data quality in a variety of different ways depending on the data and its consumer. Key technologies may include Python, Excel, and SQL.
Work with partners on efficient data processes while helping them keep their data as clean as possible.
Utilize automation to create efficiencies and reduce resource allocation for routine tasks and procedures. Key technologies may include Python.
Serve as the first level of support and triage for bugs and issues submitted by stakeholders and customers.
Garner key insights from data and communicate these findings to key stakeholders to help them make data-driven decisions. Key technologies may include Python, R, and Spark.
Contribute to database maintenance and the implementation of data storage solutions by leveraging data modeling and database design methods.
Leverage Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence concepts and algorithms to create innovative tools and processes within the company.
Help maintain a CI/CD pipeline for our data software to ensure we keep quality high and time to market low. Key technologies may include Gitlab.
A successful Data Analyst will have the following:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from four-year College or technical school, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or other STEM-related field with desire to apply that knowledge, and 2+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least two years of experience using ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) concepts and techniques on messy data sets and large databases.
At least two years of experience with Excel using advanced functions and macros.
Strong communication skills to work with partners internal and external to manage data flow into our infrastructure.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common metrics used to measure and monitor operational performance, define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and provide clear and concise communication with a wide audience of internal departments.
Proven ability to quickly learn new concepts, processes, software, and development ideas.
The following additional qualifications are a plus:
Masters in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Two years of experience using Tableau.
Two years of experience with SQL-like query language and table design.
Proficiency with Google G Suite and the Google API.
Ability to work off hours
Compensation: $60,000.00/Yr. - $80,000.00/Yr.
