This role is critical to our organizationWork on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or datarequires an evaluation of intangiblesExercise your independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluationcriteria for obtaining resultsAct independently to determine methods and procedures on new or specialassignmentsAnalyze, design, program, debug and modify firmware written in "C"Perform tests to uncover firmware issues during HDD product development,ensure successful product qualifications, and maintain firmware quality forshipping productsRely on your knowledge and exposure to hardware design and interaction withsoftware systemsAbout Our Group:This group is a multi-site team that is part of our Dataflow and Performancesubsystem. We develop firmware solutions to streamline dataflow and improveperformance for our enterprise and cloud systems products.About You:You have an excellent understanding of embedded software engineering,computer architecture, memory technologies, data structure and algorithmsYou have successful cross-functional team experience, including effectivecommunication and interpersonal skillsYou have advanced and strong attention to detail and a passion for productimprovementExperience in hardware & firmware interaction"C" language programming experienceExcellent problem-solving skillsBachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineeringor related area and experience working with real time embedded firmwareYou might also have:Knowledge of data storage systems (SATA/SAS/NVMe)Hard Disc Drive experience (HDD)Agile knowledge and experienceExperience using code development tools (emulators, debuggers & trace,version control systems, compilers, linkers, and analyzers)Software performance analysis and optimizationAbout the location:Walk into work every day with an exceptional view of the Rocky Mountains.
