As a Senior SSD FW Development Debug Engineer for Enterprise SSDs at Micron Technology, Inc. you will manage customer issue escalations, from triage to FW deployment, for multiple products and customers. This position will leverage a deep understanding of the storage industry, including SSD firmware, hardware, NAND media and multiple storage interface protocols. You will replicate, root cause and provide corrective actions, using industry standard systems for bus trace analysis and custom debug tools.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform failure analysis on customer issues and determine root cause
Develop an effective solution
Demonstrate fix effectiveness
Use analysis equipment or software to efficiently analyze functional or performance issues with the firmware and hardware in test environments or target host systems
Develop customer presentations on your findings and solutions
Storage industry experience developing embedded FW solutions
Experience with Enterprise servers to manage debug of SSDs in the server
Working knowledge of SATA or PCIe interface protocols
Proficiency in Python/Perl/Shell script programming
Proficiency in using bus analyzers
Good customer presentation skills, effective collaboration with issue resolution skills
Matrix team leadership ability
Team player, ambitious and self-starter with a sense of urgency
Experience in C/C++ programming
Experience in ARM processors and toolsets
Experience using Linux OS and Windows OS
Experience in data collection and experiment execution
Experience debugging issues in firmware
Knowledge or experience using NAND Flash components
Knowledge or experience using DRAM components
Knowledge or experience using NOR Flash components
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends, if necessary
Must be willing to travel to customer sites to support issue debug if necessary
BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 4+ years of experience
