182743 Senior System Test Engineer (Open)Job Title: Senior System Test EngineerAbout the Role - You will:In this position you will be responsible for:Leading and executing SSD Systems Test for OEMs (Original EquipmentManufacturers) and General Market.Performing Systems Integration Testing of SSDs on select servers, platformsand Operating SystemsRepresenting Systems Test to the cross functional product development team aswell as customer meetings.Identifying test requirements, bring-up test infrastructure, implement andexecute test plans according to specifications and SSD use case.Actively work in the lab with new products, servers, and standard/customtest equipment to ensure successful product launch and sustained support.Some Additional ResponsibilitiesWork with Customer Management, Application, Marketing, ProductManagement, and Customers to stay up-to-date on hardware/softwarerequirements and test plans.Develop and design test plans to evaluate drive functionality in a systemenvironmentEvaluate existing test plans against OEM specifications, customer feedbackand test escapes to improve test coverage and efficiencyIdentify and/or develop test tools to enable failure analysis and improvetestabilityStay up-to-date on the latest computer systems and programsPerform system integration test, document defects, and debug issuesPerform product testing to evaluate and support new product development andcustomersSystem level and drive level debugging using software programs,oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, and other diagnostic toolsInstall, modify and debug issues in a customer's specific or GeneralMarket environmentDrive issues to closure by interfacing/collaborating with other productdevelopment teamsProvide technical support (e.g. failure analysis, questions, etc.) tointernal teams or external customer as part of system integration testWrite test scripts in Python, Perl, etc.Understanding of operating systems, power management states and testingmethodologiesAbout Our GroupLocated in Longmont, CO the Seagate's Flash Solution Group Systems Test isresponsible for validating product quality and functionality during thedevelopment process.About You:You have the ability to solve complex problems a must.Strong Teamwork and Leadership SkillsStrong Communication SkillsStorage and Storage Protocol KnowledgeBusiness Acumen and Customer ManagementMust be self-motivated, quick learner and foster an enjoyable and productivework environmentYour Experience Includes:Must have knowledge and development/test experience in storage technologiesin Flash, RAID and storage specifications.
