184529 System Performance Modeling/Analysis Engineer - Entry Level (Open)Seagate has an exciting opportunity as a System PerformanceModeling/Analysis Engineer within our Cloud Systems team at our Longmont,Colorado Design Center.About the Team:The Enterprise Data Solutions CTO team sets the overall product and technologystrategy. Our team is also responsible for Underpinning and Validating thelong term (4-5 year) product and technology roadmap. Our team enables themarketing team with scientific assessments of our competitor's landscape,and we evaluate the available enabling technologies in order to adequately setour roadmap Targets without overshooting or undershooting the competition. Wealso help fuel the creative side of our engineering team and empower them togenerate valuable Seagate IP during their development process, throughpatent coaching and patent reviews.About the role:Work closely with the senior engineering and architecture leads to learn aboutour complex storage system's capabilities and weaknesses and help generatethe right ideas that would allow us to better our solution.Setup and maintain performance analysis tools and systems in the AD lab.The System performance analysis and modeling tools are essential to understandour systems performance capabilities and tune them or help the users configurethem properly for their usage model.Without the proper Analysis and Modeling tools, our solutions may or may notbe competitive in the market, which could result in the success or failureof our division.
