We are seeking a talented individual for a Sr. Software Developer who fulfills an important role within the organization’s Operations team. Essential functions of the role require a developer with a mastery of C# and .Net development best practices. The ideal candidate can tackle complex development individually and can also serve as a technical resource to help the entire development team achieve more.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Timely development and delivery of high-quality software with minimal supervision

  • Contribution to nimble development teams responsible for the integration and implementation of web-based applications using SQL Server

  • Adherence to web development best practices, and serving as a mentor and technical subject matter expert for less experienced team members.

  • Development of UI interfaces to ensure cross-platform browser compatibility and consistency

  • Testing of new software versions and enhancements for functionality

  • Constant collaboration with other members of the development team, providing code reviews to ensure quality.

Non-Essential Responsibilities:

  • Performs other functions as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong database development skills using MS SQL Server (2008 to the current version), stored procedures, data abstraction layers and best practices

  • Extensive knowledge of and experience in full-development lifecycle of ASP.NET using C#

  • Customer service oriented, team oriented with good communication skills

  • Understanding of .Net Web Forms

  • Understanding of MVC/MVVM architecture pattern

  • Excellent JavaScript/JQuery, HTML and CSS coding skills

  • Ability to design and implement of SOAP and RESTful API services.

  • Ablity to tackle the most complex development tasks while advancing software architecture goals.

  • Agile and Scrum process experience

  • Skill in transforming mockups into high-performance application interfaces that meet or exceed design and technical specifications

  • Understanding of current web application UI trends, frameworks, and best practices

  • Ability to work effectively on multiple projects under tight schedules without the need for technical guidance.

Work Conditions and Physical Demands:

  • Primarily sedentary work in a general office environment

  • Ability to communicate and exchange information

  • Ability to comprehend and interpret documents and data

  • Requires occasional standing, walking, lifting, and moving objects (up to 10 lbs.)

  • Requires manual dexterity to use computer, telephone and peripherals

  • May be required to work extended hours for special business needs

  • May be required to travel at least 10% of time based on business needs

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer-related field or equivalent practical experience

Minimum Related Work Experience:

  • Four plus years in full-stack Microsoft web development, including SQL Server

  • One plus year working in a mentoring or subject matter expert role
