Description: Lockheed Martin in Colorado is seeking a Electronics Engineer Staff to work on a cutting-edge team developing embedded systems solutions targeting problems related to (but not limited to) cyber security.
As one of the largest defense contractors in the world, Lockheed Martin is responsible for developing embedded systems platforms and electronics in many exciting domains including satellites and avionics. This Electronics Engineer Stf position provides the opportunity to get involved on the ground-floor of exciting new programs designing and developing new software and hardware components to be integrated into the future aero and space electronics platforms. The ideal candidate for this position would have experience managing complex aerospace systems as well as general systems engineering experience including writing and managing requirements, use cases, and maintaining requirements and verification traceability. Involvement in all phases of software, electronics and FPGA development is required, i.e. development of software and hardware requirements and design documents, project plans, software coding, testing, and training customers on the use of the project with the ability to communicate functionality at the register and bit level. The selected candidate may also be involved in various embedded and cyber security related research and development projects.

Keeping up with the latest methods, tools, and technologies is important to their success and as such most projects target the latest FPGA devices on the market and training opportunities are often made available.

-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in an engineering or scientific discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.
-Candidates with specialized systems engineering experience with complex electronic hardware for airborne and/or space platforms.
-Experience throughout engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test and deployment)
-Strong technical communication skills (experience communicating technical designs to non-technical customers and communicating customer desires to technical team).
-Experience preparing engineering milestone artifacts such as: Requirements, Architecture, Functional Design, Detailed Design, Requirements tractability matrix.
-Experience preparing and leading major engineering design reviews throughout the development lifecycle with an outward facing role to the customer.
-Strong systems engineering knowledge
-Secret Clearance required prior to start.
-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
-Demonstrated understanding of agile development within a scrum team.
-Experience with industry standard requirement tracking system like DOORS or ReqPro.
-Digital design experience, specifically with FPGA and ASIC design.
-High reliability electronics development.
-Proven ability to lead and work in all aspects of the systems engineering and operations support efforts associated with the development, integration and demonstration of a system solution which complies with all performance requirements.
-Experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Ability to work in a team focused, dynamic environment.
-Must have strong teamwork skills.
-Good written and verbal communication skills.
