Oracle YouTube Channel Operations and Editorial Lead in Louisville, Colorado

Responsible for the overall development of technical and editorial content and message portrayed across Oracle's digital channels in execution of the company's digital strategy

Responsible for the development of digital content on web and technical decisions for assigned programs. Writes summaries, blogs and abstracts of policy materials for social media, email, web and other digital channels. Research and execute best practices for planning, writing, and disseminating digital content; and for engaging audiences online. Create digital content including blogs, galleries, briefs, infographics and articles for Oracle's products and services online and print publication. Posts digital content on web and engage audiences via social media and optimal SEO practice. Take a metrics-driven approach to optimize content strategy. Assist in the identification of the objectives for digital applications and coordinates the development of content to meet defined objectives.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. Knowledge of digital design, flow and site organization. May have project lead role. 5 years related experience. Moderate technical and strategic understanding of Technology, Applications, and Industry solutions being marketed.

What will you do as a YouTube Channel Manager on the Corporate Marketing Team at Oracle?

  • You will collaborate strategically with Product Marketing and Product Management senior leads to understand our products, campaigns, customers, and to maximize the effectiveness and impact of our YouTube presence to tell the Oracle story on a global scale.

  • You will develop, implement, and articulate a new editorial policy and content strategy for Oracle's Corporate YouTube channel.

  • You will develop and maintain a high level of brand consistency as you remake Oracle's official YouTube presence.

  • You will create SEO-optimized copy for video descriptions, titles, and tags and create how-to guides so we can scale our operation.

  • You will establish, maintain, and enforce process governance over publication and management of video content on youtube.com/oracle.

  • You will collaborate strategically with social, corporate communications, brand, and PR teams to ensure consistency of tone, voice, brand, and message.

  • You will balance the needs of individual product marketers and managers with the overall objectives of the wider Oracle presence on this most prominent of public channels.

  • You will build, maintain, and administer best practices, technical standards, and workflow process around all aspects of the YouTube video content lifecycle.

  • You will serve as principal YouTube subject matter expert and guru to teach marketers and product managers what good YouTube content and campaigns look like and how to get the most out of their great ideas.

  • You will partner across teams to lead programs which extend and integrate YouTube across our Martech stack, to provide management and stakeholders with actionable intelligence, timely reporting, and dashboards to feed back data and inform content and campaign decisions.

  • You will look to the cultural zeitgeist and innovative B2B and consumer events to lead our strategy and push innovation forward for maximum business results.

Ideally, you have / are

  • 5 years experience managing a major brand’s YouTube presence

  • An experienced video creator, who specializes in the YouTube space. While this role will be about managing and curating content rather than making videos, a passion for the art and craft of visual storytelling is a must.

  • Experience thinking and working strategically about how to make a YouTube channel successful, including developing and implementing SEO strategies and content optimization.

  • Deep knowledge of the YouTube platform and what works, especially in driving consumer action and engagement.

  • YouTube certification in channel growth (among others)

  • A proven track record of developing audiences and increasing engagement on YouTube

  • Thorough understanding of the YouTube landscape, as well as other social platforms: building and managing communities, platform best practices, and consumer behavior

  • Solid understanding of marketing and social media analytics and can apply a data-centric approach to the testing and optimization of content

  • High tolerance for change, and the capacity to accomplish enormous amounts in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

  • Clear, effective communication skills and the confidence to advocate for our team and our audience in a room where talent or executives may have differing opinions

  • Strong global IQ and is comfortable working with teams from different regional markets

  • Strong perspective with the flexibility to graciously and gracefully pivot when new information is presented
