Apply defensive Cyber operations analysis expertise to Joint headquarters, its service components, and mission partners across several areas, including Computer Network Defense (CND), Information Assurance (IA), IT services, information exchange, information sharing efforts, net-centric operations, and command, control, and communications processes and solutions in support of IT C4 systems operations and assessments for information synchronization and network operations (NetOps). Serve as a Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) watch-stander, overseeing the implementation of proactive and reactive security measures to ensure the operational availability of enterprise networks and the uninterrupted flow of mission-critical information. Analyze and integrate Cyberspace operational tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) internal and external to the organization, including playbooks, the development of theater net-centric strategies, NetOps situational awareness operations, and a NetOps Concept of Operations (CONOPS) that will ensure data and systems are protected. Provide technical engineering services for the support of integrated security systems and solutions. Interface with the client in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into technical designs and respond to queries and requests for computer security information and reports. This position requires working shifts, holidays, and weekends, as required.
Basic Qualifications:-Experience with developing and delivering Cyberspace operations support at the Combatant Command or Major Command level and working inside ITIL processes and procedures-Knowledge of Cybersecurity and Cyberspace operations, including applicable Joint publications, doctrines, and policy implementations
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint-Ability to formulate recommendations for corrective actions to address identified risks and support Joint Cyberspace center operations-Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule in the Panama format, including holidays and weekends, as required-TS/SCI clearance-BA or BS degree or 4 years of experience with Cyberspace operations-DoD 8570-01-M Compliance IAT-II Certification, including GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP
Additional Qualifications:-3-5 years of experience with DCO preferred
-Experience in a DCO center
-Knowledge of management and monitoring of various network security components, devices, and services-Knowledge of the configuration of network security tools, including Splunk, Symantec Security Information Manager (SSIM), and McAfee Host-Based Security System-Knowledge of modern computer systems, including client/server, LAN/WAN and network concepts, and modern network management and security monitoring concepts-Knowledge of how to implement security patching-Knowledge of the DoD security incident response process-Ability to advise on network security issues and enforce network security and vulnerability mitigation policies and procedures-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills for interacting with customers-Possession of excellent project management and organization skills, including drafting clear and concise reports and briefing daily network security summaries and related issues and concerns to senior leaders and a larger audience
