General Description:This effort will provide support to the Joint Education and Training Division for training and certifying Joint Operations Center (JOC) crews and managing the Joint Training System. Additionally, this effort will support the Joint Exercises and Wargaming Division, to develop the Joint Exercise Life Cycle for USSPACECOM Tier 1 and Tier 2 exercises. The overall project includes assisting in the development of courseware materials and curriculum, and support executing Space Integrated Training events. In addition, we will assist in the planning, development, execution, and analysis of joint exercises and wargames. This includes support for the exercise program by explaining policies and procedures for planning, coordinating, preparing, and implementing USSPACECOM Joint Exercises and provide support to other Combatant Command exercises. In the area of wargame events, the effort includes supporting wargames, Tabletop Exercises (TTXs), Rehearsal of Concept (ROC) drills, and seminars. Both joint exercises and wargame events may include current and future Calendar/Fiscal Year (FY) planning and coordination activities. Lastly, the work includes supporting modeling and simulation efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality PA plans products (communication plans, guidance, annexes, messaging, mission analysis, strategy, etc.) to align USSPACECOM with the communication efforts, policy, and guidance of DoD, other CCMDs, and US Government organizations.
Provide direct analysis, planning, and subject matter expertise for the development of standardized processes and procedures that allow for the planning and integration of USSPACECOM PA and Communication Integration capabilities into deliberate and contingency plans, recognizing that the task requires the synchronization and participation of key command communication stakeholders.
Coordinate work and products with USSPACECOM staff, subject matter experts, higher headquarters, and subordinate units as necessary to ensure comprehensive, accurate and in-context products. Products are intended to guide communication actions of USSPACECOM and its subordinate organizations. All work with be aligned with existing US Government and DoD policy, guidance, and instructions.
Assist USSPACECOM PA in monitoring, analyzing, assessing effectiveness of, and recommending adjustments to approved messaging and strategies and integrating capabilities into current operations.
Assist USSPACECOM PA in tracking and integrating PA planning and policy considerations into component, joint, and combined exercises.
Provide additional capacity to Public Affairs staff to execute USSPACECOM?s communication capabilities and bolster the command's image to further understanding of its purpose and missions throughout domestic and foreign audiences and across all platforms, including online presences.
Support production, delivery and dissemination of various products, artifacts of media in various forms and formats, as directed.
Comply with USSPACECOM Operational Security and Public Release procedures, Public Affairs Guidance, and DoD, Combatant Command and local policy guidance and operating instructions.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Joint Education and Training Division for the Space Operations Force.
B.A. or B.S. Degree in a related field of study.
Top Secret Clearance, SCI eligibility required. Eligible to obtain Special Access Programs (SAP)/Controlled Access Programs (CAP) access preferred.
A minimum of 4 or more years of experience in space support activities.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent oral and written communication in English.
Must be able to work in a team environment with members that include personnel from other companies, Government program management and administrative personnel, and technical staff members.
This position may require periodic travel.
