(C2BMC), simulation & modeling, systems engineering, and target discrimination.
We are seeking Software Engineer 1/Database Manager & Tool Developerfor the C2BMC program, located in Colorado Springs, CO.
As member of the Integration & Test (I&T) Functional Area of the Missile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) (aka MDNT), this position will be paired with more experienced engineers to: - Develop tools for data analysis and data loading - Manage databases - Ensure availability and durability of servers at all times - Development of tools to validate database loads - Development of analysis tools to examine large data sets. Candidate will be involved with the identification of necessary tools, research of COTS based tools, and or on-going test tool development driven by the spiral migration of the C2BMC baseline.
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline and 0 years of experience.
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Must possess the technical skills necessary to support testing under general supervision for the evaluation of hardware, software, algorithms and processes to verify and characterize the capabilities of the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) element of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS).
Candidate must have good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Must possess the technical skills to develop tools to evaluate software, algorithms, and validity of data loads into databases.
Ability to develop and maintain analysis tools in accordance with requirements provided by test analysts.
Ability to configure the tools, adjust parameters, and develop scenarios to run in the tool
Ability to assist test analysts with tool troubleshooting.
Familiarity with relational databases; manipulation of large data sets; spreadsheet analysis, and associated tools, JAVA software, SQL queries.
Experience with scripting languages (developing, debugging and maintaining) to develop data collection and management tools.
Proficiency with UNIX, including shell scripting; JAVA, BASH, MATLAB, and PYTHON coding; SQL query development; manipulation of large data sets; use of tools for test analysis automation; use of tools to validate database loads.
Excel-based tools (VBA), understanding of relational databases and their development, and an understanding of test methods.
Familiarity with MS Access.
