The Boeing Company WGS Experienced Satellite Systems Engineer in Schriever AFB, Colorado
Boeing Talent Acquisition is currently looking for a
WGS (Wideband Global SATCOM) Satellite Systems Engineer
to join their team at
Schriever Air Force Base, CO
. This position will focus on
supporting the Boeing Defense Systems organization .
The successful candidate will understand the importance of this Communications Satellite’s mission in supporting the War Fighter.
Perform satellite data trending and analysis to determine spacecraft performance.
Perform problem solving and support other engineers in a team environment.
Advise the customers on how to operate and maintain satellites
Advise the customers on ground command & control system operations and improvements.
Participate in technical meetings, author database and software change requests,
Perform ground computer system software and database testing.
Author, maintain, review and help execute satellite operations procedures.
Configure and run simulations to support procedure validation.
Conduct technical analysis, studies and provide recommendations.
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics)
1+ years’ experience with Satellite Systems Engineering groups
1+ years’ experience with flight test, flight operations, or system test
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
1+ years’ experience in one or more commercial and military communication subsystem(s) and associated capabilities such as Satellite Communication (SATCOM), Ultra High Frequency (UHF), Very High Frequency (VHF), Information Friend or Foe (IFF) - Transponders (IFF-T), Enhanced Proximity Warning Systems (EGPWS), Traffic Collision Avoidance and Alerting Systems (TCAS), Global Positioning Systems (GPS) both Civil and Military, Surveillance equipment required for Communication and Navigation and Surveillance of Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) operational environment
Military experience or U.S. Government (USG) background
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
