3 years of experience installing, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning a variety of telecom/network equipment; including routers, switches, PDUs, servers, and cabling.
Experience with fiber and copper distribution, AC/DC power systems, environmental controls, and relay rack/cabinet construction.
Experience with spreadsheets, workflow and project management applications, and administrative software applications.
Expertise with all telecommunications testing equipment from scopes, continuity, and power meters.

Edge Solutions provides consulting and implementation support to Internal areas, Alphabet companies, and infrastructure partners looking to deploy deep into the Google edge. In doing this we balance improving the experience for end-users, with the aims and business goals of our internal stakeholders.
As a Network Field Deployment Engineer, you will own physical installation, bootstrapping, resource management, and installation procedure development for all facilities within scope.

Complete site surveys for all lab deployments.
Document all hardware, power, connectivity, etc. within their ownership scope.
Develop installation/configuration MOP’s for new racks and infrastructure deployments.
Provide tier 2 remote support for installations and on-site support when necessary.
Reconfigure lab networking and connectivity for POC testing.
