MYR Group Telecom Site Setup Project Manager in Thornton, Colorado

Overview The primary role of the Telecom Site Setup Project Manager is planning,scheduling and budgeting of data and voice needs for construction job sites,and for MYR Group office locations across North America. This includes dataconnectivity, terminations, ISP changes, and voice services for all MYRGroup locations. This role will serve as the primary coordinator,responsible for negotiating and developing contracts to supply data and voiceservices. Excellent communication skills are required, working with networkengineers for equipment ordering, configuration, delivery, andinstallation. Coordinates daily moves, adds, and changes of telephonyhardware and software, acting as a third level customer support fortelecommunications and maintains telecommunications databases. Essential Functions * Source ISPs to provide data and voice services for new sites and offices. * Coordinate and manage schedule for site/office startups, moves, andshutdowns. * Creates and updates records of, documentation, and emails related toinstallation, configuration, and troubleshooting activity. Communicateeffectively with both management and end users * Establishes positive working relationships with site Point of Contact,vendors, and IT staff. * Demonstrates ability to work with senior executives, maintainconfidentiality of records and information, diplomacy, tact, andprofessionalism in actions and appearance. * Must be able to work within a team environment, work closely with siteproject managers and IT staff, and making sure that projects, day to dayitems and support is handled and completed on time as well as communicatingand updating the executive and management team. * Must have knowledge of VoIP; this position requires support forMulti-site ShoreTel deployment and support of our existing customer base. Thisincludes, but is not limited to VLAN support, routing support, QoSsupport, ShoreTel application support and MAC's * Ability to persistently and aggressively work with Telco providers toresolve service related issues * Ability to plan and maintain budgets with Telco contractual obligations * Experience with vendor management programs and contract negotiation * Superior customer service skills, working with customers on data andvoice options / recommendations * Other duties as assigned Principal Skills/Qualifications * Three plus years project management experience preferably related to newoffice startups/moves specifically with sourcing and coordinating ISPs fordata and voice services. * Three plus years' experience in telecommunications. Hands-on experiencewith installing, configuring, and programming Shoretel, computertelephony, voice mail, for a small to medium user base. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Formal technical telecommunications training required: NetworkTelephony, IP routing,, call monitoring, desktop messaging software,and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) trunking. * Technical skills in interfacing with telco Customer Premise Equipment,including hands on experience with POTS, PRI, and SIP trunking. Thoroughknowledge of voice and data cabling, patching and wiring. * Knowledge of ISP/Telco, ability to provision WAN activities * Understanding of SIP, RTP, UDP and other VoIP related network protocols * Microsoft Software Suites Including: Server 2003, Server 2008, Server2012, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 * Microsoft Office * Mobile Devices including: Apple IOS, Android OS * Available for travel a few times a year for training, corporate events,vendor management, etc.Preferr
