Our display systems automaticallycontrol farm implements performing operations like planting seeds, sprayingfertilizer, and measuring crop yield in an optimal way based on soilconditions and agronomist prescriptions. Our displays send the farm data toour web-based farm and fleet management system Trimble Ag Business Software.We save water, fuel, chemicals, and time and increase crop yields alongthe wayJob SummaryThe Agriculture Technical Support Representative is an integral part of theagriculture technical support team. In this role, you will play a centralrole in providing advanced level assistance to business partners,resellers, end-users, and internal Trimble teams relating to productinformation and technical support. This role also channels information ineducating dealers and customers on the benefits and uses of Trimble Agsolutions. You will be a trusted resource that is capable of building bridgesand helping our channel envision how they can use Trimble Ag solutions.Success in this position involves time spent on training, teamwork, timeinvested in technical support related issues, and responsibility to providecustomer care and support.ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will be responsible for assisting resellers with technicalissues such as GNSS, electrical, or hydraulic related issues. In somecases, this may also require traveling to business partner locations orcustomer sites to resolve an issue. Technical support agents are alsoresponsible for answering all systems-related questions and responsible forproviding resolution to technical issues. This includes but is not limited tothe following critical competencies:Provide fast and efficient customer Tier 3 service to business partners,dealers, and end-usersAbility to position Trimble Ag as the system of choice and share value ofTrimble solutions, with the ability to overcome objections from customersand dealersPersonally cultivate, develop and maintain relationships with dealerprinciples and/or key dealer management personnelConfigure complex solutions within the Trimble Product portfolio anddemonstrate the benefits to the prospectWork with the Territory Sales Team to execute the sales opportunitiesCollaborate with colleagues to exchange information to refine and improveselling strategiesAttend sales and trade meetings, and read related publications in order toobtain information about market conditions, business trends, and industrydevelopmentsAssist internal individuals to understand the more technical aspects ofTrimble Ag solutions on how they solve specific customer problemsEmphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs and on thetechnical knowledge of product capabilities and product limitationsBe current on competitor product offerings (features, benefits, andcustomer interest in these products), report information internallytogether with recommendations as requiredAbility to provide professional communication with peers, manager, andupper managementAbility to solve problems using a creative and logical mindsetAbility to operate successfully within a matrix/multifunctional businessorganizationSkills and Experience RequiredAssociates or bachelors degree in Ag Engineering, Ag Business, orequivalent (industry-related field experience can supplement these educationrequirements)Possesses strong communication skills, both verbal and writtenFluent in English, and other languages are a plusProficient in presenting and public speaking, including technical trainingand demonstrationsCustomer service experience or in a customer-facing roleExperience with Microsoft applications and
